PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Mark Sellers is Director of Martin Luther King Academy of Excellence in Lexington, KY. He earned a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching and a Rank 1 in Special Education from the University of Louisville. When the challenging opportunity of joining the staff at Buechel Metropolitan High School as a teacher presented itself, Mark found his calling, serving alternative youth. Most of his career has involved working with students that have a history of explosive, non-compliant behaviors. As an administrator, Mark has created and implemented innovative programming at school and district levels to serve the needs of students that have not found success in traditional educational settings.
