PERSONAL INFORMATION:
Alice is a native of Lake Providence, Louisiana and is currently retired form the East Carroll Parish School Board as the Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance. She was a classroom teacher for seventeen years before her promotion to principal of Northside Elementary in 1993. In 1996, Alice was promoted to Secondary Supervisor for the school district. PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS:
Alice earned Batchelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education from Grambling State University. A specialist degree in Administration and Supervisor was earned from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Louisiana in 1985. Additional certifications include: Reading Specialist, Supervisor of Student Teaching, Media Center Supervisor, Supervisor of Instruction, Elementary Principal, and Superintendent of Schools.
ASSOCIATION CREDENTIALS:
In 1999, Alice joined the LACWAP and IATDP, ultimately becoming a Board of Directors member for both organizations. During the 2004-2005 school year, she served as state president of the Louisiana Association of Child Welfare and Attendance Personnel. That same year, she served as a hostess at the 94th Annual IATDP Conference at New Orleans, Louisiana. In October 2008, Alice served as the coordinator and hostess for the association’s prestigious Annual IATDP Awards Luncheon at Las Vegas. Currently, she is President of the International Association for Truancy and Dropout Prevention for 2011-2012
